GT Hiring Solutions has developed a sophisticated system for managing employment program information.  This Case Management System (CMS) has been subject to continuous improvement and programming changes as required and fully meets the data management and information exchange requirements of the government ministries involved in employment programming. While we have successfully been exchanging data with the Ministry’s system for several years, we have recently converted to a web-based application which eased access to our system, allows for easier scalability, and provides quicker system updates.

Our CMS operates using a central database with distributed processing and viewing access by over 225 users in both GT Hiring Solutions and subcontractor offices, using secure VPN/SLL connections in all cases.  This distributed processing allows us to manage the data specific to each community locally, to develop user expertise within each of our regional offices, and to respond to specific regional Ministry information and reporting requirements.  At the same time, this system enables us to pull together province-wide data for analysis, reporting and uploading to the Ministry FTP site, as required.  The VPN provides us with the ability to encrypt data in transmission as well as not expose our servers to the internet which helps protect us from external attacks.
