Work Search Coach

Confirmed skills in oral/written communications, interviewing and presentation; superior organizations skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities; self-starter; team player; proven ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy; counselling skills an asset. Conduct client assessments for employability skills. Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy, while maintaining principles of confidentiality outlined in The Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.  Experience providing employment counselling to individuals through needs determination, next step planning, job matching and job interview techniques.  Ability to create a positive environment for change and personal development.  Connections to organizations, associations and businesses to facilitate job placement and work experience practicums for clients.

Experience working with youth, youth at risk, disability clients, aboriginal communities, and people with addictions, is an asset. Diploma, Degree or Certificate in Human Resources, Social Work, Education or Training, addictions counselling, general counselling, is an asset.  Valid driver’s license, criminal record check.

Client Services Advisor

Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills; organized and able to adapt to changing priorities; superior interpersonal skills (friendly, professional and articulate); ability to multi-task; team player; experience with Microsoft Word and Access would be a definite asset to assist with reporting requirements.  Strong project management skills, experience managing the interests of multiple stakeholders, and good time management skills.  Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy, while maintaining principles of confidentiality outlined in The Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.  Experience providing continuous coaching to individuals in employment programs to successfully assist in meeting employment and personal development goals.

Experience working with youth, youth at risk, disability clients, aboriginal communities, and people with addictions, an asset. Diploma, Degree or Certificate in Human Resources, Social Work, Education or Training, addictions counselling, general counselling, an asset.  Valid driver’s license, criminal record check required.

Facilitator/Trainer

Ability to plan, conduct and implement training workshops.  Previous experience delivering employment workshops, customer service workshops, industry specific skills workshops.  In-depth understanding of the adult education process; implementation of instructional design techniques for effective programming and training.  Experience with working with people from diverse backgrounds, ability to handle varied group dynamics.  Proven ability to facilitate training sessions using a variety of learning techniques; engaging learner through experiential and interactive activities. Ideally our facilitators should be inspirational, talented, and able to communicate clearly.

The following credentials are an asset: National Tourism Trainer Certification, Trainer Development Certification, Certified Job Club Facilitator, Tourism Trainer Evaluator, Instructor Training and Train the Trainer, Bachelor of Education and Instructor's Diploma in Adult Education.
